Formed in 2001 by Lauren T. Hart, Dark Sun Studios has grown into a full service motion picture studio who, for the last 10 years, has been committed to telling the stories of our life and culture. We offer to the Utah filmmaking community a one stop shop for all of your gear rentals, studio space, production services and post-production needs.

The creative team of Denver Robbins, Lauren T. Hart and Brian D Byers have over 35 years of combined experience producing projects that have been seen on HBO, Disney Channel, CBS, NBC, ABC, Cartoon Network, and more. Located in Ogden, Utah, Dark Sun Studios also manages three subsidiary companies. Dark Sun Productions, Dark Sun Set Gear and Cinelux lighting.

Educational Opportunities

Internship: 
Dark Sun Studios has internship opportunities to students off all ages. Students under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a supervising adult

Classes:
Dark Sun Studios offers basic lighting for film and photography classes on Wednesdays and Saturdays starting at 10AM. Class sizes are limited and minimum class size applies.

Group classes are available on any day with prior arrangement.
